Job description

For this job as application developer you will work in the role called ‘Quintiq specialist’. Within a project team you are responsible for the technical execution of implementation projects: you design, build and test advanced planning and scheduling optimization applications based on a business analysis. This requires not only excellent technical skills, but especially the ability to understand and translate a real-world planning or scheduling problem into a planning application. You will use the Quintiq modeling language (Quill) to configure a solution tailored to the customer needs.
You will be working in a dynamic, international environment for customers in various industries like aviation, logistics, and retail.

Job requirements

You, as ideal QS candidate:

  • Have strong problem solving skills in complex environments, ability to replicate, diagnose and resolve problems
  • Have a degree (Master or PhD) in computer science, information technology, econometrics, or a similar study.
  • Have hands on development experience using an object oriented platforms (for example Java, C++, C#.NET, ASP.NET 2.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5).
  • Have a flair for solving complex logical puzzles and a passion for solving high-end Advanced Planning & Scheduling solutions and algorithms
  • Are experienced with a variety of server-side technologies, databases and frameworks
  • Have great communication skills in fluent English
  • Are a team player comfortable working in an international environment

Ticking one or more of the following boxes will be regarded as a pre:

  • Having prior DELMIA Quintiq modelling experience
  • Having experience in operations research and optimization
  • Knowledge of various software lifecycles like waterfall, Agile and latest industry trends in desktop, mobile and web platform development
  • Having an understanding of Angular JS, JQuery, Java Script, JSON, XML and SQL

A hands-on test will be a part of the selection process

This role is primarily based in the Headquarters in ’s-Hertogenbosch, which is easily commutable from Utrecht, Eindhoven, Nijmegen and Breda area. You will be expected to work with colleagues in the UK, the US and India.
