Job description

As an experienced Quintiq Specialist (QS) we expect you are familiar with the role. Within a project team, you are responsible for the technical execution of implementation projects: Quintiq Specialists design, build and module-test advanced planning and scheduling optimization applications based on a business analysis. This role requires experience as QS, excellent technical skills, but especially the ability to understand and translate a real-world planning or scheduling problem into a planning application.

Quintiq Specialists work in a dynamic, international environment for customers surrounding various industries like manufacturing, aviation, logistics, and retail.

Job requirements

Ideal QS candidate:

  • Have strong problem-solving skills in complex environments, ability to replicate, diagnose and resolve problems
  • Have a degree (Master or PhD) in computer science, information technology, econometrics, or a similar study
  • Has minimal 2 to 3 years’ experience in working in Quintiq implementation projects
  • Is minimally a Level 3 certified Quintiq Specialist (or is Level 2 certified with a clear expectation/plan/timeline to become Level 3)
  • Have a flair for solving complex logical puzzles and a passion for solving high-end Advanced Planning & Scheduling solutions and algorithms
  • Are experienced with a variety of server-side technologies, databases and frameworks
  • Have great communication skills in fluent English
  • Are a team player comfortable working in an international environment

Having one or more of the following is preferred:

  • Having experience in operations research and optimization
  • Knowledge of various software lifecycles like waterfall, Agile and latest industry trends in desktop, mobile and web platform development
  • Having an understanding of Angular JS, JQuery, Java Script, JSON, XML and SQL
  • Having additional Quintiq certifications, either in different roles or in specific Quintiq Industry Solutions

A hands-on test will be a part of the selection process
