Introducing Faces of TLF! Here we sit down with Ami, one of our Quality Engineers based out of our India Office in Ahmedabad.
Introduce yourself: who are you and what do you do within TLF?
Hi! I am Ami, Quality Engineer Lead at TLF, by passion and profession. I joined TLF 2.5 years back and am basically from Surat, food heaven of India, where I live with my mom, twin siblings (a sister and a brother), and dad’s eldest sister.
What do you do after work?
After work, I like talking to my friends about life, serious life altering topics like “Ross was indeed on a break with Rachel” or “Should we order food or go out and eat”. Honestly, I just cannot get enough of F.R.I.E.N.D.S. sitcom and we talk in our group in this sitcom’s famous phrases.
In spare time, I usually try to contribute back to the society and hence, me and my best friend Pooja visit city hospital for doing whatever possible for people out there. Also, being associated to a social community “SQM” of more than 120+ members, we indulge in organizing Quora meetups, meet intellectuals, spread knowledge and work for good causes in our city.
What do you like to do for fun/hobbies?
I like sketching whenever I get a pen/pencil or marker, and a few colleagues know that very well. I am into music, even the ones that might not make sense as I listen based on my current mood. So, I don’t have a favourite song for longer than few days. Being from Surat, famous for its food, it’s a no brainer that I am a foodie hence I like to try various food platters across the city..
Any fun hidden talent or skillsets?
I cannot say funny, but yeah it’s strange to many people that I can write in 3 languages, read-speak in 4 languages, and sing in 5 languages!!! Yeah! I can write in English-Gujarati-Hindi, speak one more – Marathi and sing in one more language – Telugu.
Also, all thanks to the blessing and curse in one pack, I am extremely imaginative, so I cannot hear a song just to listen to it but also, I choreograph immediately, thanks to my interest in dancing – not just a Baraati dancer ^_^
People who have worked with me and know me personally, have told me I am two different personalities which is poles apart.
A message to all?
TLF is like a home away from home. I stay away from my family but whenever I am not well, or upset, the way my colleagues treat me is amazing, so can’t thank them enough. Thank you, guys.
