The ideal person for this job is someone with strong technical and analytical skills who enjoys interacting with customers in a consultancy role. You are expected to have a broad understanding of integration technologies (databases, SOAP, REST, messaging eo) and IT infrastructures (networking, virtualization, operating systems eo)

Our mission is to provide long lasting performance improvements for our customers by helping them with their planning challenges (we call them puzzles). Our customers challenge us with the biggest puzzles and the excitement of solving it these puzzles is what drives us at the Logic Factory. You will be working with international clients and off-shore development teams. The role of the infrastructure consultant is to support the implementation project team with the deployment and integration of the planning solution in the software landscape of our customers. This involves creation of integration and deployment architectures, setting up and configuring infrastructures as well as troubleshooting issues (e.g. solving performance problems).

In your role you are interacting with both the customer as well as project team members and are involved in every phase of delivering a state of the art planning solution (from pre-sales all the way to troubleshooting after go-live).

Part of your time will be spent with customers to get their requirements and steer those requirements towards their desired solution. The other half, you will be working with the project team that includes the Industry Process Consultant and Application Consultant, to build the application and come up with the overall solution.

You will be involved at every stage of the implementation, from determining the compatibility of DELMIA Quintiq with the customers’ existing solutions during the pre-sales cycle, to troubleshooting following go-live.

Responsibilities

• Collect requirements supporting creation of integration and deployment designs
• Design integration and deployment approaches
• Setup / Configure the Delmia Quintiq software based on the designs mentioned above
• Validate integration implementations and non-functional properties like performance
• Trouble shoot technical issues
• Provide recommendations and support improvement both to customer solutions as well as the DELMIA Quintiq software used for the implementations
• Contribute to making TLF a FUN place to work

Job requirements

• Broad IT background with a solid understanding of operating systems, networking, security, databases, virtualization (VMWare or HyperV) and containerization (Docker)
• Knowledge on integration technologies such as Messaging, SOAP, Rest, ODBC and standard data formats including XML, JSON
• Hands on mentality and experience working with Microsoft Windows Server, SQL Server and Oracle RDBMS
• Some background with architecture / design techniques is an advantage
• Some background with validation of non-functional properties such as Load and Performance testing is an advantage
• Software development background and/or interest in software development is a plus
• Good communication skills with a variety of stakeholders ranging from developers, business consultants to IT specialists to project manager
• Enthusiastic to learn new technologies
• Team player who enjoys collaborating with colleagues in solving complex planning puzzles and brings energy and optimism to work every day
• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment with diverse projects, customers and teams

This role is primarily based in The Logic Factory’s office in Ardmore, Pennsylvania, but you will be expected to work with colleagues in Europe and India. Some travel to and from customer sites throughout the US as well as to other TLF Offices and/or customers in Europe may be required.
