KLG Europe extends partnership with DELMIA Quintiq
s’-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands, March 9, 2017 — DELMIA Quintiq, a Dassault Systèmes company and global leader in supply chain planning and optimization (SCP&O), announced today that KLG Europe has chosen to extend its partnership with the solution provider.
KLG Europe is a Netherlands-based third-party logistics provider that delivers to over 60 countries. The company offers a complete package of logistics services, with a focus on groupage services in Europe. It is the market leader in groupage transport between the Netherlands and France. The renewed partnership will enable DELMIA Quintiq to provide support for all of KLG Europe’s operations while meeting the strict rules and regulations that govern the transport sector.
“DELMIA Quintiq has been valuable to us from the very beginning,” said Ad Kuijken, Managing Director of KLG Europe. “The DELMIA Quintiq solution has improved transparency of our planning for us and our customers. It’s been proven time and again that DELMIA Quintiq offers the best solution to our planning puzzle. With their optimization technology, we will be able to realize our goal of being the market leader in logistics.”
Since 2004, KLG Europe has used DELMIA Quintiq to support one of its major operations ― consolidation and groupage transport in Europe through KLG Europe’s main hub in Eersel, The Netherlands. Three different planning departments (export, import and Benelux) collaborate on a single DELMIA Quintiq system.
With the extension of this partnership, The Logic Factory will continue to be the implementation partner for KLG Europe. “The flexibility of the DELMIA Quintiq solution has allowed KLG Europe to take advantage of new business opportunities and capitalize on changing market conditions,” said Eric Lambregts, CEO of The Logic Factory. “We have successfully kept the DELMIA Quintiq solution up to date and aligned with KLG Europe’s business drivers through these years of change.”
With the enhanced DELMIA Quintiq solution, KLG Europe will continue to significantly improve capacity and resource utilization ― for example, more accurate estimates of loading and unloading times at customer sites and smarter decisions in matters such as cross-docking. The logistics provider can look forward to minimizing empty miles and maximizing fill rates much more effectively while its planners enjoy increased control over their planning processes.
“We are extremely pleased with the extension of this partnership and look forward to many more years of successful collaboration with KLG Europe,” said Rob van Egmond, CEO of DELMIA Quintiq. “We will continue to invest aggressively in R&D to further improve the performance of our software. This will enable our customers to achieve truly remarkable business results.”
