System Administrator

Your mission

The Logic Factory, a young and dynamic company delivering state-of the art planning applications globally to only large enterprise customers is expanding their system administration department. The Logic Factory owns a large server park and hosts custom developed solutions for customers. All the systems we deliver to our customers are of vital importance to their primary process, and due to that, they rely on our ​24×7 highly secure and failsafe (cloud) architecture.
Our Dutch office is looking to strengthen our team with a system administrator that can understand, maintain, and expand our extensive environment. Our ideal candidate will be passionate about applying his/her skills to our IT environment.

  • Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware
  • Own projects, solutions, and key responsibilities within a larger business initiative
  • Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems that provide commercial advantage
  • Enable faster and smarter business processes and implement analytics for meaningful insights
  • Nurture dependable IT infrastructure and networking that’s always up and running
  • Partner with internal and external partners to communicate project status, activities, and achievements
  • Perform server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly
  • Maintain and Monitor data centers health using pre-existing management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers as needed
  • Maintain internal infrastructure requirements including, laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates; support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments
  • Interact with the help desk and other teams to assist in troubleshooting, identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed
  • Perform routine/scheduled audits of the systems, network devices, firmware updates and including all backups,

Your profile

  • Minimum MBO4 or Bachelor’s degree in technology or computer science
  • Proven work experience in IT
  • Experience with or knowledge of operating systems; current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, system performance-monitoring tools, active directories, virtualization, HTTP traffic, content delivery, and caching
  • Experience in application design and/or integration and/or hosting computing
  • Expertise in creating, analyzing, and repairing large-scale distributed systems
  • Experience in creating volumes, assigning to servers and remote replication

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Windows systems and virtualization (VMware and VCenter)
  • Knowledge of SQL Servers, clusters management
  • Knowledge of Storage Management and SAN storage architecture
  • Knowledge of Switches Console, Vlans and network segments
  • Professional certifications
  • Able to lift at least 50 lbs.

This role is primarily based in the Headquarters in ’s-Hertogenbosch, which is easily commutable from Utrecht, Eindhoven, Nijmegen and Breda area. You will be expected to work with colleagues in the UK, the US and India. Some travel to and from customer sites in Europe can be required.
