Faces of TLF - Rahul

Meet Rahul, a Technical Application Engineer from our Indian office!

Introduce yourself: who are you and what do you do within TLF?
I am Rahul Dolia. I am Gujarati, born and brought up in Chennai, located in India’s southern region. I began at TLF as a Quintiq Specialist (QS) and recently converted to a Technical Application Engineer (TAE.) I belong to the team called “The Collective” who are the second line of Defence for TLF support.

What do you like about your particular role?
Every day is a challenge! Every day we see new issues coming in, which is by far the best thing about the role! I also love that my role is directly connected to the customers. In this role, I get to learn something new (almost) every day!

What’s your favorite part about working for TLF overall, please explain.
The best thing about TLF is that the work culture is excellent. People seem more like a family than just colleagues. Even in this difficult phase of the pandemic, TLF has always supported their employees and kept them first.

TLF isn’t “work-only” kind of organization; they blend the work with some fantastic socio-cultural activities, including company sponsored sporting events and social trips.

Who are you outside of TLF? Family/ friends, etc. How would they describe you?
I am a bit aligned towards spirituality and a firm believer of God. My friends find my sense of humor to be very bad, and I am well known for my PJs… poor jokes 😊. But all-in-all, they find me supportive and a very positive person. I am the person who everyone reaches out to when they are in trouble or are feeling low, and they find my advice to be helpful. (At least this is what they tell me!)

What do you like to do for fun/hobbies?
These days, in my free time, I play with my nephews who arrived in Gujarat a few days back. I like to listen to a lot of spiritual discourses. I love to play outdoor sports like Cricket and badminton, and when I am indoors, I like to play PC and console games. I have spent many nights of my life doing that. 😊

Any fun hidden talent or skillsets?
Not many people know this about me, but I can write good two-liners in Hindi. Some people like them, and the rest end up clapping…sarcastically!
