Johan Muskens and John Rogelstad voted 2022 Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s Pros to Know

 
The Logic Factory is thrilled to announce that two of our own have been selected to receive 2022 Supply & Demand Chain Executives award. Johan Muskens, The Logic Factory NL, and John Rogelstad, The Logic Factory USA, have both been recognized as outstanding executives whose accomplishments offer a roadmap for other leaders looking to leverage the supply chain for a competitive advantage.
 

Johan Muskens

Johan Muskens has worked for TLF as a Principal Consultant and Solution Architect for the past two years and for the past eight years as a DELMIA Quintiq Logistics Planner specialist in various roles (solution architect, business consultant, technical consultant, pre-sales consultant, programmer/ software specialist and product manager.)

The modern retail industry has seen a huge shift in customer expectations – from shorter delivery times to package trackability – all of which prove to be huge challenges to the supply chain.   Old planning techniques are being transformed into new supply chain solutions which allows customers the visibility they desire while continually optimizing the cost effectiveness and ability to forecast changes in the industry.

In his role, Johan works with these customers in shaping and implementing their supply chain planning vision.  He believes that by focusing on customer’s value (defining the right KPIs) and executability, implementing these visions can be supported by a strong focus on keeping it simple and focusing on the essence of a solution.

In this past year, Johan was involved in several implementation projects enabling online retailers to cope with the technical side (performance and scalability) of rapid growth. He worked with commodity trading and public transport organizations to develop planning solutions which deliver more transparency and real-time insight. He also supported a customer in the creation of a solution vision for flexible last mile planning that is able to deal with the logistic diversity of different countries in the Asia Pacific.

Johan’s passion for technology and finding solutions to complex puzzles coupled with his strong interpersonal and people skills has made him an ideal member of the TLF team. His structured and analytical approach can bring stakeholders together, while his ability to make solutions tangible quickly enables efficient discussions and early validation of a solution vision.
 

John Rogelstad

John Rogelstad has worked with The Logic Factory for the last two years as a Managing Consultant and with DELMIA Quintiq for over eight years.  Over his tenure, he’s led both meta-optimizer and web-client transformation initiatives for the leading Master Production Scheduling (MPS) product at Dassault Systems. This resulted in the first industry optimizer to simultaneously (rather than serially) consider replenishment, capacity, and material reservations for multi-site MPS supply chain network problems in real time.

John’s passion for solving puzzles includes the recent development of a data management and enrichment solution, designed for ultra-rapid deployment of tailor fit operations solutions. The first customers are planned to go live this year.

John’s keen ability and enjoyment of finding technical solutions for complex problems that are elegant, flexible, and easy for users to utilize in real world environments is married perfectly with his work on the ground in manufacturing.  This leads to the unique ability to seamlessly bridge the gap between technology and execution; something TLF prides itself in doing.  His willingness to get down in the trenches with his team, being hands on with things like coding, teaching, and writing all make him a joy to be around and to work with.
