The Logic Factory hosted Dragana Lipovac, CEO of Hubbig, for 5 weeks as part of the 2022 Young Transatlantic Innovation Leaders Initiative Fellowship Program.
Last month, The Logic Factory (TLF) participated in a CEO exchange with the YTILI Fellowship Program. The Young Transatlantic Innovation Leaders Initiative (YTILI) Fellowship Program is the U.S. Department of State’s flagship program for emerging entrepreneurs from Europe. It aims to engage a cohort of young European entrepreneurs in activities to enhance the transatlantic dialogue between business leaders from Europe and the United States to create sustained cross-cultural collaboration.
The YTILI Fellows spent five weeks in the United States, experiencing entrepreneurship in action in one of nine U.S. cities through a fellowship placement. Each Fellow participated in and observed the operations of a host U.S. organization from his or her business sector. Through collaboration with their fellowship host organizations, the goal was for Fellows to accelerate their commercial and social ventures’ success by developing action plans to be carried out upon their return to their home communities.
Philadelphia was one of the nine cities chosen to host the fellows and The Logic Factory was chosen to be among the list of Supply Chain and Manufacturing Software/IT companies open to hosting a fellow. This list is where Dragana Lipovac, CEO of Hubbig, connected with our Chief Operations Officer, Mark Crouse, to begin her program with TLF.
“The time I spent learning and working alongside Mark and the team at The Logic Factory has been wonderful. Philadelphia, in general, has been a great city to visit- everyone has been welcoming and friendly. I’m thrilled to have been selected to participate in the YTILI program. The selection and interview process was tough, only 1-2 people per country were selected to participate. I feel the value gained working with and learning from the professionals at TLF has allowed me the chance to build my ‘toolkit’ and really prepare for my next round of investment pitches for Hubbig- furthering our mission of becoming the best in the industry for our consumers.“
Hubbig, located in Zagreb- the capitol city of Croatia, is a company that launched a new digital freight transport platform in 2019 that connects carriers to their end users. Their goal is to add value and ease of accessibility to their customers while also growing their company and having a high level of satisfaction among their employees. Dragana, as the CEO of Hubbig and a YTILI Fellow, worked alongside our COO, Mark, and other US based professionals for 5 weeks in late spring participating in customer calls, management team meetings and planning sessions. Her goal for Hubbig is to grow the company to be the number one marketplace for connecting shippers and carriers in Europe. During her time with TLF, Mark helped Dragana perfect her pitch for investors to further facilitate that goal.
Speaking on why The Logic Factory chose to participate in this year’s YTILI Fellowship Program, Mark Crouse, COO of TLF had this to say;
“As COO and manager of our North American office, I continuously try to find interesting new experiences for us to engage with other likeminded professionals and to really broaden our reach globally. For example, last year we collaborated with the university of Liverpool for an international business course and this year we did the YTILI Program. TLF is an international and entrepreneurial company. Connecting and helping other companies in our space around the world can only bring more interesting connections for us in the future.”
