Faces of TLF - Darshan

Meet Darshan, one of our First Line Support execs working out of our office in India.

Introduce yourself: who are you and what do you do within TLF?
Hi, I am Darshan Panchal. Along with contributing core IT expertise, I’m about to complete 2 years of working at TLF as a First Line Support executive for the DELMIA Quintiq Application. I’ve had such an amazing time learning the DELMIA Quintiq application and having the ability to work for large scale customers.

What do you like about your particular role?
I’ve been very fortunate in my life to always have jobs I’ve loved. Currently, as First Line Support Executive, I really like the range of work I do for our customers. Things like helping them with their small troubleshooting tasks all the way to the extremely complex technical issues. The best part of it all is how the role lends itself to continuing my training and education to stay up to date with all the critical technologies needed.

What’s your favorite part about working for TLF overall, please explain.
I would like to explain, using three powerful F’s:

Function: Being a valued resource and go-to person for all facets of the company.
Freedom: Liberty to perform my assignment by whatever means I deem necessary.
Flexibility: Ability to work from home as well, timing adjustment and my flexible managers & team, who are always ready to support.

Who are you outside of TLF? Family/ friends, etc. How would they describe you?
Outside of TLF, I live with my small family consisting of my mother, wife and a lovely daughter. I have many friends, which I love to meet up with them in a group, going out for food & partying. Few of my friends (who are in the same industry as I am) would describe me as funny, supportive, hardworking and always willing to help.

What do you like to do for fun/hobbies?
I usually play outdoor sports like cricket and badminton. But when I am at the home and don’t want to stress my body, I invite some of my intelligent friends to start a chess game or read my book collection. Sometimes I spend hours reading the news, or trying out the latest technologies.

Any fun hidden talent or skillsets?
I am quite observant to people’s style of speaking and body language. I can copy them. (Don’t take it seriously, hahaha) I also believe I am a people-person; I can find common interests with strangers and make them comfortable in my presence. It has been very helpful in my profession & personal life. Though, I always strive to improve my people-person skills.

A message to all?
Be humble! Embrace the growth mindset.
Keep yourself busy in learning and improvement mode with a never give-up attitude.
