Faces of TLF - Koen

Meet Koen, an Industry Process Consultant (IPC), working out of our office in the Netherlands.

Introduce yourself: Who are you and what do you do within TLF?My name is Koen and I’m 24 years old. I joined The Logic Factory in September 2023 as an Industry Process Consultant (IPC). As IPCs, we work on projects for customers in a variety of industries, where we help them solve their planning puzzles. We are kind of a ‘bridge’ between the customer and our development team.

What do you like about your particular role?I like to solve puzzles. This is something I did a lot when I was studying Econometrics in university, and it is nice to continue this at TLF. In my role, I enjoy having continuous communication with the customer and the development team. That’s because when talking to the customer, you are more focused on the overall process and for internal communication it is important to think a bit more technical, so the details matter. This back-and-forth kind of thinking can be challenging but is really enjoyable.

What’s your favorite part about working for TLF overall, please explain.
Within TLF, you have contact with people all over the world and it is nice to learn things from different nationalities and cultures. Furthermore, TLF is a relatively small company, so you talk to people with all kinds of roles within the company and your opinion is really taken into account.

Who are you outside of TLF? Family/ friends, etc. How would they describe you?
I grew up in a small village in the countryside and I moved to the city, for my studies, where I still live. I love to go back to my hometown to visit family and friends and enjoy the peace there. I think my friends would describe me as the guy of the silly jokes 😊.

What do you like to do for fun/hobbies?
I love to do some sporty activities, especially road cycling where you can enjoy nature and discover new places. With our cycling club, we sometimes travel abroad to conquer some mountains and nice roads. I also like to travel and do some hiking in the mountains and some relaxing at a lake.

Any fun hidden talent or skillsets?
A hidden talent, I think that is something I still need to discover myself 😉.

A message to all?
No matter what happens, try to stay positive!
