The Logic Factory Completes Phase Two of Quintiq Implementation at TINE
The Logic Factory, a certified DELMIA Quintiq Platinum Partner, has completed the implementation of phase two of the Quintiq solution for TINE, which further enhances its tactical planning and expands the solution’s scope to include operational planning.
In 2018, The Logic Factory began phase two of the implementation of logistics planner at TINE. In this phase, The Logic Factor extended TINE’s current tactical planning solution to the operational level. With this enhancement, TINE’s Operational Planners, from local distribution centers all over Norway, will soon be able to utilize Quintiq for their daily customer order deliveries.
Previously, this work was done through an ERP system that did not match the requirements or standards currently needed, which ate up an abundance of planning time. Now, with this new system in place, the planners can plan and visualize every route and individual stops within the Quintiq application.
Within a short period of time, we are now able to quickly replace anonymous drivers with actual drivers, swap vehicles, re-plan shipments, etc. These confirmed shipments and routes are then released directly by the planners from the Quintiq application to TINE’s ERP system for further release to picking. The Logic Factory also implemented a ‘control room’ function where all distribution centers’ operational KPI’s are collected and visualized for Management purposes. In addition, driver knowledge per customer based on historical planning is also traced and stored to help planner find suitable drivers for any route.
