Faces of TLF - Niels

Meet Niels, Head of Global Quality at The Logic Factory.

Introduce yourself: Who are you and what do you do within TLF?
I’m Niels, and I currently serve as the Head of Global Quality at The Logic Factory. I joined TLF in 2014 and have had the opportunity to wear multiple hats over the years – from Industry Process Consultant to Project Manager, and now into quality leadership. Across these roles, I’ve been involved in a wide variety of projects, helping clients across industries solve complex planning puzzles. It’s been a rewarding journey of growth, challenge, and impact.

What do you like about your particular role?
What I enjoy most is the continuous pursuit of improvement – both in how we work internally and in how we deliver for our clients. From a quality perspective, it’s about making sure every solution, process, and project gets a little better every day. I’m driven by a mindset of constant optimization. And when I’m directly involved in projects, I love collaborating with the team and customers. No two clients are the same, and no two challenges are alike – and that variety keeps things fresh and exciting.

What’s your favorite part about working for TLF overall, please explain.
There’s a strong sense of purpose and collaboration here. We come together to help customers solve genuinely tough operational challenges – and seeing the impact of our work on their day-to-day performance is incredibly fulfilling. Whether it’s optimizing a supply chain or fine-tuning a scheduling solution, it feels good to know you’re part of something that makes a real difference.

Who are you outside of TLF? Family/ friends, etc. How would they describe you?
Outside of work, I’m someone who values quality time and great company. I enjoy watching sports and spending quality time with the important people in my life. Friends and family would probably describe me as someone who is always up for a laugh.

What do you like to do for fun/hobbies?
Lately, golf has become my go-to hobby. It’s a great way to unplug, focus, and challenge myself – plus, there’s nothing quite like a quiet morning on the course. It combines precision and patience, which oddly enough, also ties back to what I value in my professional life.

Any fun hidden talent or skillsets?
Most people don’t know this, but I used to play underwater hockey – and not just casually! I started when I was 15 after a scuba diving intro, and it quickly turned into a serious passion. I’ve been Dutch Champion a few times and had the honor of representing the Netherlands at the European Championships. In 2001, I played with the Under-21 team in Belgrade where we became European Champions, and in 2003, I competed with the elite team in San Marino, finishing second.

A message to all?
Make sure you have fun in the things you are doing.
